PROFILE OF MARIANA MORAIS

Hi, I am Mariana Morais.
I was born in Porto, Portugal, in 1980. I currently live in Neuching, Germany.

From 1995 to 1998 I studied at the Artistic High School Soares dos Reis, in Porto. In 1998 I was admitted to the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto and graduated with a Degree in Visual Arts - Painting in 2004.

I have been exhibiting and participating in artistic projects in Portugal and Germany since 2001.

Here you will find artistic work in the media of painting, drawing, visual poetry and digital art, ranging from figurative to abstract. The themes focus on existence and the human essence, in depictions that explore the relationship between the mundane and the transmundane.
